Delete Your Account
If you'd like your Killie Trust account and personal data deleted, email us and we'll take care of it.
How to request deletion
Send an email to info@thekillietrust.com from the email address registered on your account, with the subject line "Account deletion request". Please include your full name and membership number if you have it to hand — it helps us find your record quickly.
We'll confirm your identity, process the deletion, and reply to confirm once it's done. This is normally completed within a few working days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — name, contact details, date of birth, address
- Your login credentials
- Any linked junior/family member profiles you manage
- Push notification tokens and device registrations
- Your entry in the member directory (if you opted in)
What we may keep
If you have an active or recent Direct Debit or card subscription, we're required to retain a minimal payment and transaction record for accounting and tax purposes, as UK law requires charities and similar organisations to keep financial records for a set retention period. This is limited to what's legally required — it does not include your profile, address, or other personal details, and it is not used for any other purpose.
If you have an active membership subscription, please cancel it from the Membership screen in the app first — this stops future payments. We'll still process your deletion request even if you haven't, but cancelling first avoids any confusion over a payment landing after your account is gone.
Deleting just your account, not your data
If you'd only like your account/login removed but are happy for us to keep your membership history on file, let us know in your email and we'll do that instead.
Want a copy of your data instead?
If you'd like to see what we hold about you rather than have it deleted, see our Subject Access Request page.
