Killie Trust refreshes its strategy following end of migration

The Killie Trust has refreshed its strategy as it aims to support the football club further in the years ahead.
The Trust has now completed a significant project to migrate members from annual subscriptions to a monthly membership.
Following a year of migration, the Trust now has around 850 adult members and over 350 Junior Trust members, representing a smaller but more engaged membership base.
Monthly income has grown from £6,500 to £9,500 a month, which represents an encouraging increase and we hope that with continued investment in projects that benefit supporters, this will only grow in the coming years.
We understand that there are various reasons why people chose not to migrate including affordability, but we hope to bring them back to the Trust over time through strong messaging and projects that bring a real benefit to them.
Earlier this year, the Trust carried out an important survey of its members to find out their priorities for the organisation in the years ahead.
Responses indicated that members wanted the main aims of the Trust to include representing fans, increasing our shareholding and influence, improving the experience of supporters and playing a vital role in the financial stability of the club.
Key projects suggested for the years ahead included improvements to seating inside Rugby Park, an increase in the safe standing area, more matchday experiences for supporters, further supporting the women’s first team and carrying out initiatives to increase membership.
The Trust is committed to working hand in hand with the football club to carry out projects like these that matter to our members and the wider fan base.
The vast majority of members wanted the Trust to continue with its current financial model of supporting one larger project and a number of smaller projects throughout the season.
A number of additional activities for Trust members were also proposed, including more regular stadium tours, comedy nights and other social events, alongside more Junior Trust events such as meeting players. We will look into all of these ideas and more in the coming months.
On the back of these survey results, the Trust board sought to undertake a thorough review and develop a new strategy for growth in the years ahead.
A new Trust mission statement and key goals have been created which can be viewed below...

We want to make it very easy for non-members to understand exactly what the Trust is all about, and we hope that these new missions and goals reflect that.
The Trust will also focus on three initiatives in order to grow its membership in the years ahead.
This includes increasing our presence on matchdays through the use of sign-up stalls at home games and more volunteers in Trust-branded clothing, spreading the word about our work.
We are also in the process of developing a new app and website which we are aiming to launch in the very near future.
This will provide a one-stop-shop for all Trust members to access news, votes and any other important information about our work.
Following the conclusion of the Pitch In campaign, which will have raised £150,000 towards the club’s return to grass, we will start our next set of projects to benefit supporters at Rugby Park.
The Trust is now calling on all Killie fans to get on board for this exciting new chapter as we aim to grow our membership and shareholding in the club.
Every voice counts and every contribution makes a difference, so join us and help ensure that future generations inherit a stronger Kilmarnock FC than we did.
